Mullet Bay Restaurant – Southern Vibes, Steak & Seafood Done Right I was looking for a place that had both steak and seafood—because I’m a seafood lover and my friends were craving steak—and Mullet Bay came up under both in the search, which was perfect. The place definitely has a Southern feel—that unmistakable Georgia charm. The building itself has a classic Lowcountry coastal vibe, with a wide, wraparound porch and big windows, kind of like a historic beach house meets Southern cottage. It was super cool-looking and inviting. We asked to sit outside on the porch, and they happily accommodated us. The woman who greeted us had the most charming Georgia accent—adorable and fun, especially since we're from Wisconsin—and she was incredibly kind and welcoming. I had shrimp (can’t remember exactly which style, but it was great), we shared some fried pickles that were so good, and the sweet tea hit the spot. My friends had other dishes—probably steak—but I can’t remember exactly what. What I do know is we all enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. If you're on St. Simons and want good food with that easygoing Southern vibe, this is a great stop.
